Purpose & Objectives
 

Section 1:  The purpose of the Lumpkin County High School Cross Country Booster Club (LCXCBC) is to promote the sport of Cross Country for the students of Lumpkin County High School. The LCXCBC will establish an ongoing dialogue and working relationship with the LCHS Principal, LCHS Athletic Director and the LCHS Cross Country coaching staff to ensure that the LCXCBC’s participation in, and support of, the Cross Country program is always consistent with the highest goals, expectations and aspirations of the athletic competition among the students.

Section 2:  The objective of the LCXCBC is to support the long-term growth of the LCHS Cross Country Program and to ensure that the students have proper training, equipment and facilities in which to learn and compete. LCXCBC activities and fundraising are to be conducted solely on an as needed and on-going basis (not for profit).  

The goals include but are not limited to the following:

• To provide general operational support (financial & otherwise)

• To develop a sense of pride and tradition for the students, coaches and parents

• To promote and publicize the high school cross country program in the Dahlonega community
• To recognize accomplishments of the team, the players and the coaches

Membership in the LCXCBC is open to parents or legal guardians of athletes and coaching staff. Membership is automatic, but voluntary.
