In partnership with the University of North Georgia’s 13th Annual UNG XC Invitational, Lumpkin County High School will host a high school division for varsity teams.
Divisions & Field Size: The college event will take place on the evening of Friday, September 12 with the high school running first. The varsity-only races will include the top 10 runners from each school.
NEW FOR 2025: This year's event will be varsity only races with a field size capped at 15 teams per race. In place of open online registration on Georgia MileSplit, teams are required to send intention to compete to LumpkinXC@gmail.com.
Awards: Awards will be given to the top two finishing teams with the top-10 runners in each race receiving a medal.
Entry Fee & Payments: $250 per high school for two races - boys varsity ($125) & girls varsity ($125).
Please make checks payable to Lumpkin County HS Cross Country Booster Club. Payment (cash, check or Venmo) should be paid in person to the race desk at packet pickup/team check-in. Please do not mail payments in advance of meet.
Parking: Team bus parking will be along Nighthawks Way. There will be event staff on site to direct traffic to the appropriate lots. Additionally, all spectators will park for free in the parking deck overlooking the course or in paved surface lots adjacent to the course.
Timing: RunnersFit Timing will electronically score all the races with ChronoTrack system on bibs. The ChronoTrack system utilizes the single-use B-tag relieving the headache of collecting timing devices after the race.
Race Schedule: Team check-in, payment processing and packet pick up will open at 2:00 p.m. on Friday (Sept. 12) in the G.W. Bailey Amphitheatre.
